Dr. Greg Carr Blisters Tim 'Mission Accomplished' Scott For Sinking George Floyd Act Talks

Much is being said about the negotiations that took place between Sen. Cory Booker and Sen. Tim Scott over the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act now that talks have stalled and all parties have left the negotiation table.

On Thursday, Dr. Greg Carr, Associate Professor of Africana Studies and Chair of the Department of Afro-American Studies at Howard University blistered the Scott for essentially sinking the negotiations.

Carr congratulated the South Carolina senator for a "mission accomplished" and defending law enforcement throughout the process as the talks failed even though Senate Minority Leader tapped Scott — the only black Republican in the Senate — to lead the efforts and get a deal done.

Dr. Carr explained Scott was sent into the GFA negotiations with "one objective ... to defend the patty-rollers ...".
